A Career as Unique as You Are
The eCommerce Assistant is responsible for the product lifecycle on our website, ensuring both brand and Laings products are identified, added with accuracy in a timely manner and consistently optimised to meet our sales goals. This role is pivotal to the success of the eCommerce roadmap and combines sales focus with the opportunity to develop in areas including SEO, analytics, client retention techniques and brand relationships, assisting within our eCommerce team 37.50 hours per week, 5 days out of 7.
Here is How We See Your Role:
- Own the end‑to‑end web photography workflow for jewellery and watch arrivals, ensuring all photography, product data and system processing are completed accurately and on schedule.
- Enrich and maintain product information within the ERP and eCommerce platform, including product copywriting, technical specifications, meta data and high quality imagery.
- Ensure luxury‑standard product presentation, using brand guidelines and performance data to optimise product pages and maintain consistency across the website.
- Maintain and update eCommerce project boards, proactively communicating status, risks and required actions to relevant stakeholders.
- Manage updates across third‑party platforms, including Google My Business and brand partner portals, ensuring information is accurate and aligned with Laings’ brand standards.
- Ensure all store information is accurate and up to date on our website, including opening hours and store correspondence.
- Assist with website testing when assigned, whilst consistently monitoring the website for areas to improve.
- Supporting with SEO projects and tasks including metadata updates, on‑page copy enhancements and keyword optimisation.
- Conduct competitor and industry research, summarising insights to support trading decisions and digital strategy.
- Contribute to eCommerce KPIs, ensuring all duties are completed to a high standard with a commercial, sales‑driven approach.
The Perfect Person We are Looking For:
- Commercially minded and sales‑driven, with a strong focus on achieving eCommerce growth and financial targets.
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks at pace.
- Collaborative team player, able to support colleagues while maintaining ownership of assigned responsibilities.
- Demonstrated proficiency across the Microsoft 365 suite, with expertise in Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
- Excellent written communication, including grammar, product descriptive writing and brand‑appropriate tone.
- Willingness and ability to learn new skills and new technologies, particularly related to eCommerce.
- Familiarity with luxury brand standards, customer expectations and high‑end product presentation.
