Location: Flexible (Oxford, Milton Keynes, St Neots, Birmingham, Port Talbot, Watford, Woking or nearby) - occasional travel to project sites required.
Responsibilities
- Act as the carbon lead across assigned projects, ensuring compliance with client, legal, and business requirements.
- Support whole life carbon assessments in line with RICS WLCA and tools such as One Click LCA.
- Provide expertise in carbon management aligned with PAS 2080, identifying hotspots and reduction opportunities.
- Support project teams with carbon reporting, target setting, and delivery.
- Contribute to training, case studies, and work‑winning materials.
Carbon Data Systems
- Support the development of carbon measurement and reporting tools and systems.
- Establish efficient workflows for data collection, validation, and reporting.
- Analyse carbon data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Maintain awareness of relevant software and support data development across factory and product teams (e.g. EPDs, TM65).
Desirable
- Experience working within design and/or construction teams (typically 5+ years).
- Knowledge of carbon measurement and management principles, or willingness to develop in this area.
- Relevant degree (Engineering, Environmental, Architecture, or similar) or equivalent experience.
- Passion for sustainability, carbon reduction, and climate resilience.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- High level of digital and numerical literacy, with the ability to analyse complex data.
