A Resourcing Advisor supports the candidate journey and works with smaller stakeholder groups to support recruitment activities. The position will be based out of Dartford with travel to sites and offices when required. The position is to cover EPL for a period of 12 months.

Responsibilities:

  • The role will focus more on candidate attraction, market intel, and onboarding process with additional duties for stakeholder engagement.
  • The position will work on pre-planning for projects, reactive recruitment, and attraction methods.
  • Advise on resourcing requirements, working with resource managers and hiring managers to identify and engage candidates.
  • Utilise the existing database and job boards to proactively source candidates in a skills short market.
  • Support resource managers on strategy, talent pooling, reactive resourcing, and hiring campaigns.
  • Be an advocate for LOR D&I initiatives to enable opportunities for diverse candidates and transferable skills.
  • Capture data on recruitment trends such as salary alignment, market intelligence, skills shortages, transferable skill sets, and other usable data.
  • Utilise the application tracking system to organise talent pools and select suitable applicants for positions.
  • Understand the importance of diversity and inclusion and the company's goals and actively be involved in D&I agendas.
  • Screen candidates against job description criteria, carry out initial phone screening, and ensure the best match candidates are selected.
  • Positively promote Laing O'Rourke and the employer brand.
  • Spend time on projects and with hiring teams to fully understand requirements and expand your knowledge.
  • Work closely with teams to reduce/mitigate contractor populations.
  • Provide an excellent onboarding experience with communication and candidate relationship.
  • Identify recruitment trends and report on market intel.
  • Create effective advertising from hiring briefs and project knowledge.
  • Keep up to date administration on notes, tracking of project resource plans.
  • Support with internal movements when required.
  • Advise hiring teams on the recruitment.
  • Support the Resourcing operations team with tasks when required such as role approvals, support, and systems changes.

Education/previous experience/skills:

  • A Degree / formal qualification in HR or recruitment or hands-on experience obtained by on-the-job experience.
  • Understanding of recruitment practices and candidate management.
  • Understanding of recruitment challenges.
  • Knowledge of Boolean or other search techniques.
  • Exposure to CRM, Candidate Attraction or similar recruitment systems such as eArcu, Invenias, PageUp.
  • Able to work under pressure with a variety of tasks.
  • Be part of a one team approach same goal approach.
