If you can effectively manage information, then you can control knowledge. Knowledge is power and here at Laing O\’Rourke we draw on the “Power of Experience”. We need your knowledge in information management to align information flowing from our amazing projects.

Can you help us to bring together our systems and effectively communicate across a number of exciting projects around the UK? Using the latest in information management technology you will be part of a diverse team of professionals across planning, data, digital engineering, and project delivery. Utilising your skills in information management software to ensure security, correct access, and the collation of information while supporting Document Controllers with training that is setting the trend in best practice for the industry. We need you to support our projects and document controllers on reporting, system maintenance, digital filing and archiving to enable quick and reliable information, sometimes at short notice, while also acting as a communication bridge between regional project teams and the Head of Information Management.

What will you need for the role?

  • Do you have experience in Document / information management systems (Asite, Aconnex, Sharepoint) and setup for multiple sites?
  • Do you understand QMS (Quality management systems)?
  • Are you experienced with Digital handover process?
  • Do you have experience of leading a team of Information Managers?

We’re looking for someone with a good knowledge of construction processes inclusive of design approval and handover. They will need to have good technical ability and working knowledge of ISO19650/BS1192. We\’re looking for someone with extensive knowledge of collaboration tools, EDMS\’s and other database applications who can organise and deliver training sessions with clients, consultants and supply chain and project teams on any information management system.
