The Role

We\’re looking for a proactiveProduction Engineerto join the Quality team at CEMC – Laing O\’Rourke\’s industry-leading offsite manufacturing hub. You\’ll work at the intersection of production, quality, and engineering, using digital tools and 3D scanning to assure that our precast concrete products meet and exceed expectations on projects like HS2, Everton Stadium and the Oxford Humanities Building.

What you\’ll do

  • Lead the development and implementation of Project Quality Plans and Inspection & Test Plans

  • Use 3D scanning to control tolerances and ensure client specifications are achieved

  • Proactively resolve manufacturing challenges before they reach the production line

  • Drive continuous improvement through root cause analysis and lessons learnt

  • Represent the voice of the client in quality standards across our product lines

  • Collaborate with Operations, Engineering and Technical Solutions to embed quality into everything we do

What you’ll bring

  • A background in engineering or technical quality within construction or manufacturing

  • Knowledge of concrete standards, tolerances and quality processes

  • Strong problem‑solving, communication and collaboration skills

  • Experience in dimensional control, inspection planning or temporary works supervision (desirable)
