About the Role

We are looking for a

Document Controller to join our Information Management team and provide a robust, reliable and timely document management service across our projects.

Working within a project environment, you will be responsible for ensuring project information is accurately controlled, distributed, recorded and maintained throughout the project lifecycle.

You will work closely with design teams, project managers, internal stakeholders, external consultants and supply chain partners to ensure information is managed in accordance with project procedures, client requirements and relevant industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

As a Document Controller, you will

  • Support the development and implementation of project

Information Standards, Methods and Procedures .

  • Administer project collaboration and Electronic Document Management (EDM) systems.
  • Support design teams with the accurate distribution of information, management of comments and approval workflows.
  • Carry out quality assurance (QA) checks on published drawings and documentation.
  • Receive, check, register and distribute project information in accordance with agreed procedures and distribution matrices.
  • Resolve drawing and document-related queries and provide day-to-day support to project users.
  • Scan, upload and manage project documentation while helping project teams improve their information management practices.
  • Coordinate, arrange and record training requirements for project collaboration systems.
  • Manage reprographic services and coordinate internal and external resources where required.
  • Establish and manage the

Method Statement process, including registration, uploading and tracking.

  • Support the establishment and ongoing management of digital

Health & Safety (H&S) files in line with client requirements and industry best practice.

  • Establish and maintain electronic and hard-copy archiving procedures throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Set up and administer

Field View , ensuring appropriate protocols and processes are agreed and followed.

  • Ensure project mobile devices are correctly synchronised and maintained.
  • Apply knowledge of document and drawing numbering conventions and relevant

British, international and ISO 19650 standards .

  • Develop knowledge of emerging information management applications and technologies.
  • Support and, where required, supervise other Document Controllers.
  • Attend Information Management peer groups and contribute to knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.

This role offers the opportunity to play a key part in the successful management of project information while developing your expertise in digital construction, information management and ISO 19650 .

You will work alongside experienced project and Information Management professionals, gain exposure to a range of digital systems and contribute to the successful delivery and handover of major projects.
