We're looking for an Electrical Testing Coordinator to join Crown House Technologies – Enterprise Solutions, part of Laing O'Rourke's specialist MEP services business, delivering some of the most technically advanced construction projects in the UK.

You will play a key role in the planning, organisation, and delivery of electrical testing and inspection across our Ellison Institute of Technology's Oxford Campus, a landmark life sciences development bringing together cutting-edge research laboratories, a wellness clinic, and collaborative spaces dedicated to solving global health challenges.

In this pivotal position, you will ensure compliance with BS 7671, BS 5266-1, Electricity at Work Regulations 1989, and internal safety procedures, while maintaining accurate documentation and reporting. You will act as the central point of coordination between project engineers, contractors, operational teams, and compliance managers, helping projects run safely, efficiently, and in line with statutory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain inspection and testing schedules.
  • Coordinate contractors and internal teams to complete tests, remedial works, and certification.
  • Review and validate EICRs, test sheets, and emergency lighting systems.
  • Monitor compliance, escalate non-conformances, and ensure risk-based tasks are prioritised.
  • Support safe systems of work, permits-to-work, and isolation procedures where required.
What We're Looking For:
  • Strong experience in electrical testing and inspection, including reviewing EICRs and minor works certificates.
  • Knowledge of statutory requirements and standards such as BS 7671, BS 5266-1, and Electricity at Work Regulations.
  • Excellent organisational, planning, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Relevant qualifications such as City & Guilds 2382 (18th Edition) and 2391 (Inspection & Testing), or equivalent.
  • Experience in construction, healthcare, facilities management, industrial sites, or data centres is desirable.
