The Opportunity
We’re growing our Commercial Team in Dartford and looking for an ambitious Assistant Quantity Surveyor to take their career to the next level. You’ll play a key role in delivering temporary accommodation and hoarding projects, supporting cost management, reporting, and contract administration across a wide range of works. What You’ll Do
- Own QS responsibilities: measurement, valuation & work agreements
- Prepare interim applications for payment & subcontractor accounts
- Price variations and negotiate changes with clients & supply chain
- Assist in tenders & establish project budgets (“budget to build”)
- Monitor, control & report costs – ensuring projects stay on track
- Administer NEC, JCT & bespoke contracts
About You
- 2–3 years’ experience in a QS role (main contractor / plant hire preferred)
- Strong numeracy & commercial awareness
- Confident communicator, collaborator & negotiator
- Proactive, motivated & able to work independently
- Passionate about construction, safety & doing things the right way
