As part of our centralised People team, you will partner with business leaders to deliver people solutions that support Laing O'Rourke's strategic objectives. This role is key to driving consistent implementation of people policies and processes, managing people-related risks, and supporting the delivery of business goals. You will also contribute to wider people projects and change initiatives across the organisation, helping to enhance employee experience and organisational performance.
About the Role
Working closely with the People Director, People Leads, and senior stakeholders, you will ensure people management practices are aligned with business priorities, HR best practices, and organisational values. As a trusted HR partner, you will provide expert coaching, guidance, and support to managers, ensuring people strategies, policies, and processes are effectively implemented and aligned with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with leaders to drive people performance, engagement, and development.
- Support workforce planning, organisational change, and business transformation initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with employment legislation and HR best practice.
- Lead talent and succession planning activities across the business.
- Use people data and insights to support informed decision-making.
- Collaborate with recruitment teams to deliver effective resourcing plans that support diversity, inclusion, and internal mobility.
About You
- CIPD Level 5 qualified (or equivalent).
- Proven HR Business Partner/People Partner experience within a complex, geographically dispersed organisation.
- Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
- Commercially minded with the ability to deliver pragmatic people solutions.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and analytical skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable working with people data.
