Laing O'Rourke are currently recruiting for a Senior Engineer to work on our Monklands Hospital Replacement project, in Airdrie (Glasgow).

Scope of works:

  • Reinforced concrete structures

Role & responsibilities:

  • Managing a team of between 2 and 4 Section Engineers
  • Utilise and recommend best engineering methods
  • Design process knowledge
  • RAMS
  • Interpret as-built information
  • Provides guidance to less experienced staff
  • Completes QA documentation and record keeping
  • Implements ITP requirements
  • Production of method statements or understanding of how they are produced
  • Temporary works understanding and TWC (Temporary works coordinator)
  • Understanding of materials and plant including call off schedules
  • Aware of site HS & E procedures

Experience / Qualifications:

  • Degree qualified in Civil Engineering discipline, other construction related degree or an industry recognised technical or engineering qualification
  • Circa 6 years' relevant technical / practical experience within an engineering role
  • Structures experience
