Laing O'Rourke is looking for an experienced and highly organised Executive Assistant to support the Group Company Secretary across a broad and varied remit. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in managing priorities, enabling efficient decision-making, coordinating activity and ensuring work is organised and delivered effectively in support of the wider responsibilities of the function.

The role would suit someone with sound judgment, strong organisational skills and the ability to bring structure to a dynamic environment, while working confidently with senior stakeholders and managing a varied workload.

Alongside supporting the Group Company Secretary, you will also provide assistance to other senior members of the Jersey office and contribute to the smooth running of wider operational requirements as needed.

What will the role look like?

  • Providing high-quality executive and administrative support, including diary management, travel coordination, inbox oversight and prioritisation of key communications.
  • Preparing and managing high-quality documentation, including presentations, meeting papers, minutes, memos and formal correspondence.
  • Coordinating meetings and workstreams end to end, including logistics, agenda preparation, tracking actions and ensuring timely follow-up.
  • Supporting wider Jersey office activity through stakeholder coordination, document management, invoice processing and collaboration with the Company Secretarial team and Office Manager.

What we are looking for:

  • Previous experience in an Executive Assistant, PA or similar support role in a fast-paced and professional environment.
  • Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities, stay one step ahead and maintain a high level of accuracy.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with confidence drafting professional documents and working with senior stakeholders.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Word, PowerPoint and CoPilot, with the ability to produce polished and professional outputs.
  • A proactive, adaptable and discreet approach, with the judgement to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately.
  • Some legal or company secretarial experience would be useful, but is not essential.
