Help shape the future of UK aviation. Laing O'Rourke is delivering the next major phase of works at Stansted Airport, and we're looking for an experienced Project Quality Lead to champion right‑first‑time delivery across this flagship programme.

The Role

As Project Quality Lead, you'll set the quality strategy, drive assurance, and embed a high‑performance culture across a multidisciplinary team. You'll be the senior authority for quality on the project – ensuring compliance, elevating standards, and leading digital, data‑driven approaches to progressive assurance.

Responsibilities

  • Own and deliver the project's Quality Strategy and Quality Plan.
  • Lead assurance, compliance, and progressive handover activities.
  • Influence project leaders, supply chain partners and client stakeholders.
  • Use digital tools and analytics to track, forecast, and improve performance.
  • Drive learning, continuous improvement, and a strong quality culture.

Qualifications

We're looking for a proven quality leader with experience in complex, high‑assurance environments such as aviation, rail, nuclear, or major infrastructure. You'll bring strong technical understanding, excellent stakeholder skills, and the confidence to influence decisions at senior level. Experience with ISO 9001, BS 99001, digital assurance platforms, and industry best practice is highly desirable. Chartered Quality (CQI) or Lead Auditor credentials are a bonus.
