You'll be a key part of the team influencing smart building design from the ground up.What is the role?Preparing accurate cost estimates for Building Management Systems—from control panels to field devices and integrationReviewing specifications, drawings, and documents to define BMS scope and complianceEvaluating supplier and subcontractor quotes and contributing to commercial decisionsSupporting bid teams with risk, value engineering, and margin inputCollaborating with internal teams across engineering, planning, procurement, and designLeading or supporting tender efforts across a wide portfolio of complex projectsHanding over clear, concise estimating documentation to the delivery teamWhat do we look for?Experience estimating BMS systems within the construction or building services sectorStrong technical understanding of BMS infrastructure, control philosophies, and system architectureAbility to work to tight deadlines, independently and as part of a teamGood written and verbal communication skillsBPSS or SC clearance eligibleDesirable:Experience with BMS controls (e.g. Schneider, Siemens, Tridium, etc.)Familiarity with industry standards (e.g. BS EN 15232, CIBSE Guide H)Background in design, commissioning, or engineeringKnowledge of procurement, cost planning and estimating tools Experience in healthcare, science, or secure government environmentsAbout us:CHT is one of the UK's most advanced, and innovative, engineering and business services specialists.
