Role Overview and the Purpose of the role:
As a Graduate Design Engineer, you will be part of a team delivering innovative engineering solutions that help shape major construction and infrastructure projects. Supported by experienced engineers, you will gain hands-on experience in advanced analysis techniques, design, digital engineering and 3D coordination while developing practical knowledge of construction methods and buildability.
Key Responsibilities - What you'll do:
As a Graduate Design Engineer, you will be part of a team delivering innovative engineering solutions that help shape major construction and infrastructure projects. Supported by experienced engineers, you will gain hands-on experience in advanced analysis techniques, design, digital engineering and 3D coordination while developing practical knowledge of construction methods and buildability.
- Develop innovative, safe and buildable engineering solutions for major infrastructure and construction projects.
- Produce calculations, drawings, 3D models and technical reports using industry-leading analysis, CAD and BIM software.
- Apply structural engineering principles to steel, concrete, timber and geotechnical design challenges.
- Support design risk assessments and ensure engineering solutions meet the highest safety and quality standards.
- Collaborate with project, construction and design teams to solve complex engineering problems.
- Contribute to digital engineering, value engineering and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Gain hands-on experience through project work, site visits, mentoring and professional development towards chartership.

We are recruiting for locations that we anticipate having Early Talent roles for at the time of our next programme commencement. Please note that due to the nature of the business, there could be changes to locations noted.
Our projects are based across the UK (National) so you'll need to be prepared to be flexible about where you work. Depending on project requirements, this may involve travelling, staying away from home during the week, or relocating closer to a project site. In return, you'll gain valuable experience working on a variety of projects, helping you develop your skills and broaden your career opportunities.
