We are looking for a Civils Design Manager to play a key role in delivering this nationally significant programme. This is an opportunity to influence complex infrastructure, work with diverse, high‑performing teams and see your ideas come to life on a major scale.
What you'll be doing:
- Leading the coordination and delivery of civil design solutions from early concept through to construction and handover.
- Working closely with designers, engineers, delivery teams and clients to ensure designs are safe, buildable and efficient.
- Managing design programmes, risks and changes to keep delivery on track.
- Supporting a collaborative design environment where ideas are shared and improved.
- Championing innovation, sustainability and continuous improvement across the project.
Why this role stands out:
- Be part of a nationally critical programme supporting the UK's journey to net zero.
- Influence high‑value, complex projects with real long‑term impact.
- Work in a culture that values collaboration, respect and different perspectives.
- Enjoy opportunities to grow your career across major infrastructure sectors.
- Contribute to solutions that balance performance, safety and sustainability.
What we're looking for:
- Experience managing civil or infrastructure design across multiple project stages.
- A strong understanding of design coordination, risk management and delivery processes.
- Confidence working with a range of stakeholders and bringing people together.
- A proactive, solutions‑focused mindset with a focus on quality and outcomes.
- A degree in an engineering discipline (or equivalent experience); chartership is welcomed but not essential.

We are committed to creating an inclusive environment where everyone can thrive. We welcome applications from people of all backgrounds, experiences and career paths, and we encourage you to apply even if you feel your experience doesn’t align perfectly with every requirement.
