Laing O'Rourke is looking for a BRPC Compliance Coordinator to support delivery teams on the Stansted Transformation Project. You will help ensure regulated building work is planned, managed, monitored and coordinated to achieve compliance under Part 2A of the Building Regulations (as amended), with a strong focus on inspection, construction delivery, competence and clear assurance.
What you will be doing:
- Supporting project team(s) where Laing O'Rourke is appointed as BRPC to meet statutory duties during the construction phase.
- Acting as a liaison with the Client, BR Principal Designer, contractors and designers to promote cooperation and clear responsibilities.
- Supporting systems to assess, record and review contractor competence through the project lifecycle.
- Carrying out regular risk‑based site inspections, documenting findings and driving close‑out of issues.
- Joining inspections with the Registered Building Inspector or Registered Building Control Approver as required.
- Maintaining clear, auditable records of competence checks, inspections and dutyholder communications.
- Promoting proactive compliance behaviours and continuous improvement across the team.
- Sharing improvement ideas with the central Building Safety team.
What you will likely bring:
- Around 10 years or more in the built environment, ideally on major projects.
- Confidence working with building regulations and complex compliance requirements.
- Strong communication and stakeholder skills, with a calm, collaborative approach.
- Experience of site inspection and robust documentation.
- Ability to prioritise and deliver in a fast‑paced environment.
- Business acumen and a customer‑focused mindset.
Qualifications (desirable):
- Degree in a relevant field (for example building surveying, building control, architecture, structural or fire engineering, construction management).
- Chartered status (or working towards) with RIBA, CABE, RICS or similar.
