Overview
Location: Lincolnshire. You will act as a trusted adviser and champion for Health, Safety & Environment, supporting project and operational teams to build positive, inclusive safety cultures. The role may be project-based or involve visiting multiple sites, focusing on proactive assurance, risk management and the delivery of the Rethinking Safety through Inclusion and Wellbeing approach.
Responsibilities
- Promote and embed the Rethinking Safety through Inclusion and Wellbeing programme across projects.
- Provide expert HSE advice, coaching and assurance to managers and operational teams.
- Facilitate risk assessments, investigations, learning reviews and workforce engagement activities.
- Support the implementation of Safety and Environmental Management Systems and statutory compliance.
- Analyse HSE performance, drive continuous improvement and challenge non-value-adding processes.
- Act as a key contact with enforcement bodies and support incident investigations and close-out.
- Identify training needs and support the delivery of HSE coaching and development.
Qualifications
- Level 4 H&S qualification (minimum) and member of a relevant professional body.
- Strong technical knowledge of occupational safety, health, wellbeing and environmental risk management.
- Experience in assurance, audit, investigation and coaching.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to build trust at all levels.
- Positive, proactive and resilient, with a collaborative and people-focused approach.
- Confident working in complex project environments and driving cultural change.
