We’re looking for a Digital Engineer to join our well‑established Digital Engineering team in Birmingham, supporting a portfolio of major projects within the power infrastructure sector. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives on collaboration, innovation, and delivering high‑quality digital solutions from early design through to construction.
About The Role
As a Digital Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting major power infrastructure projects during both early design phases and later construction stages. You’ll work closely with internal teams, supply chain partners, and external stakeholders to manage digital workflows, ensure model quality, and maintain efficient and accurate information management throughout the project lifecycle. Once projects move into the construction phase, the role will involve periodic travel to project sites to assist with digital coordination, support delivery teams, and help resolve on‑site challenges.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage, coordinate, and maintain digital models across major power infrastructure projects.
- Support early design‑stage modelling and digital delivery requirements.
- Work closely with the supply chain to ensure timely and accurate model and data delivery.
- Conduct model quality checks and support technical reviews to ensure compliance with project standards.
- Support and implement TIDP / MIDP development and wider Information Management workflows.
- Collaborate with designers, engineers, delivery teams, and other project stakeholders to address issues and improve digital processes.
- Provide on‑site digital support during construction stages, including coordination and troubleshooting.
Skills & Experience
- Working knowledge of GIS and Information Management processes.
- Proficiency in key industry software such as Navisworks, Revit, and/or Civil 3D.
- Strong understanding of digital model coordination and structured data workflows.
- Excellent communication and active listening skills, with the ability to understand challenges and provide effective solutions.
- Experience in the power infrastructure or wider energy sector.
- Familiarity with ISO 19650 standards and digital delivery frameworks.
- Experience working within a major project or multidisciplinary engineering environment.
