Join our Digital Team supporting the Great Grid Partnership, a major UK infrastructure programme helping deliver the Great Grid Upgrade.

In this role, you’ll be the go-to digital specialist, creating data‑driven solutions that improve decision-making, streamline processes, and unlock the value of project data. The role sits within our Power Sector portfolio, supporting the Great Grid Partnership (GGP) for National Grid, a critical national infrastructure programme delivering the UK's Great Grid Upgrade. Along with our Laing O'Rourke delivery teams, you will work closely with our delivery partners and National Grid stakeholders to support the successful delivery of complex energy projects through the intelligent use of data and digital tools. You will play a key role in advancing digital maturity across the programme, supporting consistent data capture, developing and maintaining Power BI insights aligned to the Build Twin, automating processes, and upskilling site teams to help drive adoption.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and reporting solutions.
  • Create and enhance Power Apps and Power Automate workflows.
  • Analyse, integrate, and transform data to generate actionable insights.
  • Collaborate with project teams and stakeholders to identify digital improvement opportunities.
  • Support and train users to increase digital adoption and data quality.
  • Drive innovation through automation, analytics, and modern digital tools.

Qualifications

  • Experience with Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate, SharePoint, Excel, and Microsoft 365.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to engage with stakeholders and translate business needs into practical solutions.
  • Experience working with data, reporting, and process improvement.
  • Construction, engineering, GIS, SQL, Python, Fieldview, or AI tool experience.
  • Comfortable working across multidisciplinary construction teams to translate operational needs into scalable digital solutions.
  • Knowledge and understanding of operating requirements and procedures within corporate databases, such as SQL servers.
  • Experience working in a data‑driven or digitally enabled delivery environment.
