Expanded are currently recruiting for a Section Engineer (Digital Build) to drive certainty, engineered safety and excellence in delivery at the Monklands Hospital Replacement Project. This is the perfect role for an experienced Site Engineer or Section Engineer to move into a Digital Build role. We are able to support your development in the Digital BIM space.

This is an office based role.

Location: Glasgow, Scotland

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Develop and agree on the Digital Build Scope with the project team, assigning tasks to design partners.
  • Review third-party design packages to ensure they align with Digital Build and capture dependencies in the project schedules.
  • Ensure schedules align with DfMA and reinforcement execution timelines, including checking DfMA elements against interfacing models.
  • Create 3D models for permanent and temporary works based on the agreed Digital Build scope.
  • Add Digital Build metadata to models and manage third-party metadata requirements.
  • Manage RFIs and BimCollab issues related to Digital Build and Digital Review with design partners.
  • Issue coordinated model content for site setup, quantification, and construction use via Trimble Connect.
  • Support the procurement of 3D reinforcement models from approved detailing specialists, ensuring they meet specifications.
  • Run Solibri automated checks on all relevant models according to milestones in the Digital Review document.
  • Prepare Solibri check reports for Precast Detailing Execution packs.
  • Ensure access to a federated Digital Build Model, updated every two weeks.
  • Chair bi-weekly Digital Build review meetings with the project team.
