To make this more exciting, we\’re embarking on a Digital Transformation programme which will encompass all areas of the business and our projects lifecycle. This creates an exciting and varied career opportunity. Role Overview An Assistant Digital Engineer has the opportunity to be involved with a range of our digital activities within our business streams. For example, these opportunities could be: Digital: Project-based digital construction and engineering roles Digital: Time, cost and visualisation roles Digital: Systems, automation, modelling and technology (e.g., AR/VR) roles Digital information roles An Assistant Digital Engineer will provide valuable support to our Digital function as we deliver our business priorities and client requirements. These opportunities relate to the design stages, involvement with our supply-chain or manufacture capabilities, or the on-site build and handover stages of our exciting projects. Location As a project-led business, the location of our work can vary depending on project needs. This role may require you to be prepared to work away from home at project sites across the UK. Degree Subjects Civil Engineering, Architectural Technology, Building Services, Structural Engineering, or a similar construction-related degree will be considered Professional Accreditation Depending on your degree subject: ICE, IET, CIOB, RICS, RIBA or another suitable professionally accredited route The Laing O\’Rourke Graduate Development Programme – what can you expect? Assessment Centre : Our in-person assessment centres, held at a LOR office, provide an opportunity for you to demonstrate your skills through a combination of individual tasks, short interviews, and group activities. This is also a chance to experience our culture first-hand. Outcome : We aim to provide feedback and communicate the outcome of your assessment centre within two weeks. Entry requirements We are looking for graduates who meet the following criteria: Studying a degree course with a clear route to professional accreditation Studying or have obtained a Civil Engineering, Architectural Technology, Building Services, Structural Engineering degree.
