Platform Owner – People Systems (SAP) Platforms: People Systems (E.g. SAP, eArcu, CultureAmp) Do you hold accountability for the design, build and evolution of People Platform capabilities? Laing O\’Rourke has an opportunity for a Platform Owner to manage their platform as a product to be consumed by product teams. You will align platform capabilities with product team requirements, business objectives, and the enterprise architecture vision road map. The role will see you mainly working on SAP based systems like SuccessFactors playing a key role in the management and strategy of HR technology ecosystem. Can you support a wide stakeholder group to build a better platform for the future? Then this is the role for you. As a key person to build relationships, facilitate and drive alignment. Do you have the ability to connect with stakeholders and prioritise decisions? Responsibilities include: End-to-end ownership to design, build, and evolve platform capabilities. Understand and engage with customers of the platform (often product teams) to identify, anticipate, and satisfy their requirements. Maximize utilization of the platform in line with the enterprise architecture vision and roadmap. Promote and market the benefits and value delivered by the platform. Provide and maintain the tools and standards to deliver. Maintain platform improvement backlog/roadmap to satisfy customer needs. Create a platform environment that enables others to autonomously develop and deliver business value. Manage vendors/suppliers that support or integrate with the platform. Develop and maintain the platform including releases, features and tools. Monitor integrations and work with other internal business systems. Oversee technical governance and work with the vendor for development and configuration. Acting as the keeper and communicator of the platform vision you will understand what the platform offers, define the roadmap and ensure the health and security of it. Skills, Knowledge and Qualifications: 8+ years in IT Systems experience with experience in operational and customer facing roles. Degree qualified or similar qualification in IT / computing. SAP systems experience (SuccessFactors desirable) including architecture, modules and features. Experience of working in technical product teams. Management of a large IT platform (People Platform desired). Knowledge of design principles and Agile methodology.
