We are seeking a highly skilled Payroll Systems Support Administrator with a strong technical background to support the payroll function and assist with the development of key payroll-related reports. This role will focus on reporting, data management, and system administration, requiring a solid understanding of SAP Business Objects, SQL, and Itrent, along with the ability to work with high volumes of data and handle sensitive payroll queries.

What skills & experience are we looking for?

  • Reporting & Data Analysis: Develop, run, and maintain custom reports using SAP Business Objects to meet business requirements, including costing and data reports. Handle high volumes of ad-hoc reporting requests, ensuring timely delivery and accuracy. Ensure proper authorisation for reports, as they often contain sensitive payroll data. Liaise with stakeholders to clarify reporting requirements and ensure reports meet business needs.
  • System Administration & Support: Provide system administration support for the Itrent system, including password resets, managing user access, and responding to general system queries. Ensure data integrity within the Itrent system, troubleshooting any system issues as they arise. Assist with system updates and contribute to improving system functionality in line with business needs. Review incoming queries in the shared mailbox, ensuring that payroll-related queries are properly directed to the monthly payroll team when necessary.
  • Compliance & Data Privacy: Ensure all payroll-related reports and data handling follow GDPR guidelines and company privacy policies, maintaining confidentiality and data security. Stay up-to-date with payroll-related compliance requirements, ensuring all tasks adhere to relevant legislation.
  • Technical Knowledge & Process Improvement: Apply SQL skills to assist in extracting and manipulating payroll data for reporting and analysis purposes. Contribute to the improvement of payroll systems, processes, and reports, providing feedback on ways to streamline and automate reporting where possible.
