We are seeking a skilled and passionate Commercial Manager to join our Brighton 3T\’s Healthcare Redevelopment Programme, a new 13-storey teaching, trauma, and tertiary care hospital with a rooftop helideck, occupying the southeast quarter of the existing hospital site.

About the Role

As MEP Commercial Manager, you will be responsible for managing all commercial aspects of a section of this large project, including:

  • Leading specialist subcontractors and liaising with clients and project teams.
  • Providing commercial, contractual, and financial management to meet project and business profit objectives.
  • Planning, monitoring, and supporting operations, promoting best practice across the team.
  • Managing commercial activities during pre-construction and construction to ensure project and business success.
  • Preparing and managing monthly contract review reports, weekly Business Plan Review (BPR) information, and management accounts.
  • Monitoring monthly costs and advising project management on contractual implications and commercial risks.
  • Establishing the project “budget to build” from contract award, implementing change control, and ensuring contracts are properly executed before project commencement.

Skills & Experience

  • MEP experience and proven experience leading commercial teams on large or multiple medium projects.
  • Experience in healthcare, science & research, data centres, or defence.
  • Degree-qualified in a relevant discipline (Quantity Surveying / Commercial Management).
