At Laing O'Rourke, we are looking for a Communications Manager who has a passion for content creation and building meaningful relationships. If you have experience crafting engaging written and visual content whether that's articles, videos, or social media and think you could help us capture stories of our projects and the people delivering them, we want to hear from you.
You will play a key role in showcasing the incredible work happening across our business, helping bring our brand to life. Whether it's writing compelling stories, producing standout videos, or sparking conversations that build awareness and engagement, this role is for someone who sees communication as a powerful tool to connect, influence and inspire.
What to expect in this position:
- Craft compelling narratives that highlight key projects, initiatives, and individuals across the organisation
- Develop and deliver high quality written communications for the company's internal and external channels
- Edit and support the production of short films and video content, ensuring clarity, consistency, and impact
- Support the management of social media channels, with a focus on LinkedIn and Instagram
- Produce a variety of content formats, including written articles, photography, and video assets
- Work collaboratively with stakeholders to identify content opportunities and ensure alignment with communication objectives
- Uphold brand voice and messaging consistency across all content and platforms
- Contribute to content planning and editorial scheduling to support broader communications strategies
- Travel occasionally to project sites to capture content and build relationships

- Excellent written communication skills, with a strong attention to detail and storytelling ability
- Proven experience in content creation across various formats (written, video, social media)
- Strong interpersonal skills, a natural people person who enjoys building relationships

The role requires some travel to sites and offices for gathering content, with the majority of time being spent at our head office in Dartford.
