We’re looking for an entrepreneurial Managing Partner to lead the next chapter of The Thieves!

This is a role for someone who is obsessed with the customer journey, thrives on commercial opportunity and knows how to bring people together.

The Thieves is not your traditional pub.

By day, we’re a vibrant community hub at the heart of Battersea.

By night, we transform into one of South West London’s most exciting social entertainment destinations, bringing together great hospitality, competitive socialising, a full arcade experience, private events, live entertainment and unforgettable nights out.

You’ll have the freedom to shape the business, develop your team, build meaningful relationships in the local community and unlock the full commercial potential of a genuinely distinctive venue.

As a General Manager (or Management Partner, as we call the role at Laine because we work in partnership) you’ll co-manage the pub and help take it to new heights.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, loves community engagement, and has a flair for creating memorable experiences.

  • What You’ll Be Doing
  • Running a high-quality, community-first pub alongside Laine
  • Building genuine relationships with locals, regulars, and collaborators
  • Curating low-ego, high-soul entertainment that enhances the space
  • Leading a happy, empowered team who care about the details
  • Balancing strong commercial performance with soul and authenticity
  • Who We’re Looking For
  • Hospitality Enthusiast: You love creating epic guest experiences.
  • People Person at Heart: Passionate about building a community? Tick. We’re all about empowering happy and confident individuals who can bring out the best in your team.
  • High-Volume Pro: You’ve thrived in a busy, high-energy venue before and know how to keep things running smoothly.
  • Natural Leader: You can motivate and inspire a team—likely building one from scratch!
  • Connected & Trend-Savvy: You understand the local crowd and what gets them excited.
  • Entrepreneurial Spirit: You’re commercially minded and know how to drive sales, market events, and build a brand.
  • Social Media-Savvy: You know how to create buzz and engage audiences online.
  • The cool stuff that comes with joining us
  • Your Pub, Your Vision – Run the venue like it’s your own while we handle the behind-the-scenes essentials (maintenance, business support, etc.).
  • Profit with Purpose – Earn a share of the profits (upwards of £45k/pa), keeping you and your team motivated to succeed.
  • Creative Freedom – From quizzes and cabaret to cocktail comps and arcade nights – if you can dream it, you can do it.
  • Investment & Growth – With Laine’s backing, we’re investing in better facilities, bigger events, and a more vibrant atmosphere to drive success.
  • Ongoing Development – Leadership training, creative workshops, and career growth opportunities across Laine’s 50+ pubs.
  • Perks with Personality … Enjoy discounts across our venues and be part of Laine’s legendary events.
