Join our team as Head of Events and Alumni to drive positive change and amplify impact through leading extraordinary virtual and in‑person gatherings and fostering an engaged alumni community. We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated individual to join our team as a full‑time Head of Events and Alumni. In this fast‑paced, highly impactful, and ever‑evolving role, you will play a vital role in organising extraordinary virtual and in‑person gatherings that inspire and advance our mission. Additionally, you will be at the forefront of fostering a vibrant and connected alumni community, ensuring lasting impact and meaningful relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create and run online and offline events, including the annual Scholars Conference, Global Induction events, International Women’s Day events, Programme Managers event, Alumni gatherings, and engaging webinars with influential guests.
  • Evaluate the return on investment of events, scholarship programming and Foundation initiatives; measuring the inputs, outputs, outcomes and impact that make up the theory of change model.
  • Set and deliver the alumni engagement strategy forging strong relationships with and for the Scholar community.
  • Collaborate with the Programme Director and partner institutions to deliver a seamless transition from current to alumni scholar participation.
  • Manage and maintain the Foundation CRM and feeder databases.

Requirements

  • Proven experience curating and delivering small and large scale events on time and to budget.
  • Extensive knowledge and use of CRMs.
  • Strong data mining and analytics.
  • Community (ideally alumni) communications and convening.
  • Impact measurement and theory of change expertise.
  • Rigorous project management skills, allowing you to plan, execute, and evaluate projects while adapting to changing needs.
  • Top university graduate or equivalent calibre.
  • Four years of relevant experience including evidence of promotion / career progression.

  • Awards ceremony experience.
  • Go Squared, Zapnito or Eventbrite skills.
  • Laidlaw partner university or business school alum.

Location

Compensation
