Laidlaw Schools Trust (LST) are looking to recruit a Marketing and Communications Executive to our central team in Newcastle. The successful person will be responsible for marketing the Trust to external stakeholders, internal and external communications and assisting in the development and delivery of a social media strategy for our academies.
This role is a key appointment for us as our trust expands. We currently educate more than 5,300 children and we need the successful candidate to ensure that the LST brand, communications and marketing for students, parents, staff and stakeholders are expertly managed in order to ensure that all children are proud to be part of LST, that parents flock to send their children to an LST Academy and teachers want and find lasting careers with LST.
Reporting directly to the Deputy CEO we are looking for someone with:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to write copy, proof read and design with great attention to detail
- A proven track record in creating, using and editing content in different channels (web, social media, PR, email) based on audience insight and evaluation
- The ability to work well with and gather content from a range of colleagues, and to build strong relationships both internally and externally
- The ability to work with multiple creative agencies who have been engaged for support with branding, signage and social media strategy development
