We have an exciting opportunity for a corporate receptionist to take full ownership of the front of house services at an office building in central Guildford, working Monday to Friday, 8.30am – 5.30pm. You will genuinely enjoy hosting and excel at building positive relationships to enhance the front of house experience. With your creative flair, you will plan and organise pop ups and events to help create a welcoming, community focused atmosphere for everyone working in the building. You will work closely with the building manager to ensure smooth and efficient building operations. You should be well presented with proven relevant experience and confident to take ownership of this busy and varied role.
Key Responsibilities
- You will become the face of the building, ensuring everyone receives a warm and professional welcome.
- Take full ownership of the reception area, continuously looking for opportunities to improve processes and enhance the experience for everyone who visits or works in the building.
- Efficiently sign in all visitors to the building following appropriate reception processes.
- Manage deliveries, including couriers and post.
- Produce a weekly update report for key stakeholders.
- Work closely with the Building Manager – confidently reporting building issues and helping manage to resolution.
- Research and develop a structured seasonal events/added value programme – aimed at delivering a community vibe and offering activities, deals and give-aways to increase enjoyment for those working in the building.
- Produce a monthly e-newsletter promoting initiatives and concierge services– helping to create a community vibe, as and when required.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Personable and proactive with a confident manner and able to deliver impeccable customer service.
- Self-motivated and willing to take on additional marketing activities as part of the reception role.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- PC literate, with experience of using social media apps.
- Enjoy working independently.
- Proven experience in a front of house reception role or customer service, or sales environment.
- Competent Microsoft Office user, with a knowledge of how to use social media apps and Canva.
