Motability Operations are currently recruiting for a Manufacturer Relations Account Manager to join our team in Bristol or London on a 12-month FTC/Secondment to cover a period of sabbatical leave. Your role will be to coordinate the relationship between Motability Operations and an appointed portfolio of vehicle manufacturers through the development of effective working relationships across all levels within their organisation. To ensure that vehicle manufacturers understand the business opportunity that Motability Operations represents and are provided with a strong business case to supply a wide range of vehicles for Scheme customers at the best possible prices. To scope and understand the future distribution models and routes to market of the brands within your portfolio. To ensure a balanced offering of EV and ICE products as Motability Operations transitions to an electric fleet.
Main Responsibilities
- Pricing: Work closely with the Asset Risk and Pricing teams to produce quarterly pricing proposals. Lead pricing negotiations to ensure targets are met and manage submission of price changes and requests.
- Account Management: Represent Motability Operations to your portfolio of vehicle manufacturers at all relevant points, provide market intelligence, and support internal discussions.
- Customer Satisfaction: Collaborate with manufacturers and internal teams to resolve customer satisfaction issues exceeding expectations.
- Vehicle Choice: Ensure a wide range of cars are available for Scheme customers, including new market entrants.
Qualifications
- Experience in the UK automotive industry, with knowledge of car manufacturers and fleet/contract hire organizations.
- Proven ability to manage relationships with key suppliers to achieve strategic goals.
- Experience working across functions internally and externally to benefit customers.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and presentation skills.
- Understanding industry challenges and negotiation skills.
