Exciting new opportunity in travel retail, delivering exceptional service while working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment!

Job purpose

As a Sales Advisor, you will provide exceptional customer service, assist shoppers with product inquiries, and help drive sales in a retail environment. You will ensure that the store is well-stocked, organised, and visually appealing. Additionally, you will handle transactions, manage customer issues, and contribute to a positive shopping experience.

Role location and timing

This role is for our Aelia duty free store at Belfast International Airport. This store is undergoing a significant redevelopment with the estimated opening of the new store in April 2025. During the time before store opening there will be full training on our system and processes, and the responsibility of supporting recruitment for the growing team.

Contract and benefits

Contract: 37.5 hours per week, across 5 days (part-time opportunities available)

Key responsibilities

  • Greet customers and offer assistance with product selection.
  • Provide detailed product information and recommendations based on customer needs.
  • Assist with stock management, including restocking shelves and organizing displays.
  • Handle customer transactions, including cash, credit, and returns.
  • Resolve customer inquiries and complaints professionally and efficiently.
  • Meet or exceed sales targets and contribute to store goals.
  • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the sales floor.
  • Stay updated on product knowledge, store promotions, and policies.

Qualifications

  • Previous retail or customer service experience is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changes.
  • Basic math skills for handling transactions.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

Accessing the airport

A five-year working and personal reference, along with a Criminal Reference Check, will be required for this role as the store is airside in the departures lounge. This will be discussed in more detail at interview stage or please contact us if you have any questions regarding this.
