The Marketing Manager is responsible for creating strong marketing strategies for stores to drive commercial performance for owned and partner brand stores. Support premium execution of brands in Business Development activities to secure new locations and Key Account Management of our client/landlord/brand partners to secure our position as preferred operator.
Department Objective: Responsible for our Duty-free stores across UK & IE + our Food & Beverage stores. Developing and executing strategic marketing initiatives to drive brand awareness, customer engagement, and sales growth across our travel retail outlets. You will be responsible for creating and implementing innovative marketing campaigns that resonate with our target audience and enhance the overall customer experience.
Contract: ASAP to April 2027 (Minimum). This position is to cover a 12-month maternity period starting in April 2026 however offering immediate start to ensure substantial cross-over. 37.5 hours per week worked across 5 days, work remotely 2 days per week.
Key Responsibilities
- Corporate/General
- Coordinate internal communications for the UK & Ireland Business
- Work with the Commercial team in marketing and communications related activity as required
- Manage agency partnerships and content creation
- Proof-reading and text approvals for marketing campaigns
- Driving cross functional collaboration with Brand Marketing, Finance and Sales teams, to assess customer and business needs, define goals, identify solutions, and engage teams towards an aligned Marketing strategy.
- Marketing (B2B)
- Work closely with Paris headquarters to keep updated on activities around the group and ensure we benefit from global experience
- Work with our strategic partners to develop content, obtain approvals and secure marketing activity
- Manage content across all airport websites and partner sites
- Strong relationships with brand partners to drive in-store and online animations and activations
- Event management for store launches and brand activations
- Marketing (B2C)
- Creation, planning, budgeting, and implementation of Marketing strategies across Duty-free & F&B business lines, working in partnership with the Buying Team to create compelling offers, led by data and results to continually improve commercial performance.
- Work with Marketing Executive to execute seasonal campaigns, manage printers and agencies, create reporting campaign, managed within given budget.
- Create content for digital marketing activities and manage marketing team calendars and release schedules
- Responsible for all Marketing topics related to the opening of a new store e.g. in store POS creation & printing, implementation, online communication with the airport.
- Budget Management:
- Manage the marketing budget efficiently to provide relevant strategies and accurate planning for all sites which are proportionate to the PAX Numbers and store size.
- Monitor and track the marketing spend per store according to the budget.
- Review and process invoices associated with the marketing department.
- Team Management
- Marketing Executive reports directly to the Marketing Manager.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business, or a related field. MBA is a plus.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in retail Marketing (travel retail experience is a bonus)
