The Care Coordinator (Care Operations) plays a central role in ensuring the safe, effective, and timely delivery of high-quality care to children and families across the North West. Based at our Head Office in Horwich with regional travel, this post is responsible for the operational coordination of care packages, workforce planning, rota management, training oversight, and quality assurance. Working closely with the Head of Care (Nursing) and Senior Care Team, the Care Coordinator ensures that all packages are staffed appropriately, mobilised within defined timeframes, and delivered in line with regulatory and organisational standards. The role requires strong operational leadership, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Main duties of the jobThe Care Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operational delivery of care services, ensuring that all care packages are safely staffed, effectively scheduled, and delivered to a high standard. The role involves workforce planning, rota coordination, and proactive management of staffing levels to maintain service continuity. The post holder will support the mobilisation of new care packages, coordinate required training, and monitor service performance against internal quality and compliance standards. Working closely with senior care staff, the Care Coordinator will respond to operational challenges, manage escalations, and ensure timely resolution of issues affecting families or staff. The role also includes maintaining accurate documentation, producing operational reports, and supporting continuous service improvement. Regular travel across the region is required to provide on-site support and maintain oversight of care delivery.
