FK Lowry, part of the Lagan Specialist Group, has been delivering specialist piling solutions for over 35 years. As members of the Federation of Piling Specialists and founding member of the Piling Contractors Association of Ireland (PCAI), we design and install CFA and rotary bored piling, retaining walls, driven piling and ground improvement systems for some of the region's most significant infrastructure and building projects.

We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated and ambitious Graduate Engineer to join our dynamic team. Working on a variety of piling and foundation engineering projects, you will gain valuable hands-on experience across site operations, project planning, commercial management and engineering delivery. From project mobilisation and site set-up through to successful completion, you will play a key role in supporting the safe, efficient and high-quality delivery of our projects. What you'll do

  • Conduct site visits and investigations
  • Prepare technical reports, drawings and specifications using CAD software
  • Support Project Managers in planning, budgeting and scheduling tasks
  • Collaborate with architects, surveyors and contractors to ensure project success
  • Ensure up to date Contract documentation is reviewed and in place
  • Liaise with commercial team to identify change/delay to tender
  • Procurement and scheduling of piles and/or materials
  • Control of costs and financial reporting
  • Liaising with clients and other stakeholders
  • Sequencing and programming
  • Attending site meetings (HSEQ/Progress etc.)
  • Analyse data and provide recommendations for engineering solutions
  • Visiting FK Lowry sites pre-commencement
  • Preparing Method Statements and Risk Assessments, and implementing safe working practices on site
  • Implementing design to site execution
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across engineering and operational processes
  • Monitor piling production records and assist in analysing performance against project requirements
  • Work towards achieving professional development objectives and membership of a relevant engineering institution

What you'll bring

As a Graduate Engineer your main skills and experience will include:

  • Essential: Degree level qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering and Management or other relevant area
  • Minimum of 40 weeks work experience within Civil Engineering or Construction
  • Full driving license, permitting driving within the UK/Ireland
  • Flexibility to travel to sites
  • Confidence with IT, including MS Office packages
  • Willing to work towards and achieve professional engineering accreditation

Desirable:

  • CSR/CSCS Qualification or equivalent
  • Experience of using AutoCAD or other equivalent software
