Role Overview

As a Residential Housing Project Manager, you will effectively manage the selected contractor to ensure safe delivery of the project, in a timely manner, ensuring profitable and high-quality projects, liaising with the contractor, suppliers, stakeholders and customers every step of the way.

What you'll do

  • Oversee the management of the contractor on projects from conception to completion, ensuring progress, safety, quality and profitability are on target throughout.
  • Identify and manage risk and opportunity effectively throughout the project.
  • Contribute to progress reports for the Development Director, ensuring all information is clear and accurate.
  • Liaise with external stakeholders (including statutory bodies) to ensure delivery and handover of homes.
  • Manage Road and Sewer Bonds and other necessary statutory requirements.
  • Liaise and manage various Project Design Teams.
  • Represent the company at progress meetings and other forums, answering queries and receiving feedback in a professional manner.
  • Management of any defects.
  • Be a point of contact for the customer on site, meeting with or liaising with them as requested.
  • Responsible for mentoring junior team members.

What you'll bring

As a Residential Housing Project Manager your main skills and experience will include:

  • Minimum 4 years’ experience as a Project Manager in construction
  • Excellent people skills and a track record in delivering high level customer care
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

It would also be desirable to have:

  • Chartered Membership of CIOB or another relevant body
  • CSR/CSCS certification (or equivalent)
  • Site Management Safety Training Scheme certification (5-day SMSTS)
  • 4 years of Project Management of housing delivery in N. Ireland or ROI (preferably timber frame construction)
