Your Role
The Geography Department is a welcoming and enthusiastic team made up of four specialist teachers who are passionate about helping students understand the world around them. We work closely together to create a supportive environment where students feel confident to ask questions, share ideas, and develop their skills.
Geography is a popular subject within the school, with many students choosing to continue their studies at both GCSE and A Level. Courses follow the Northern Ireland CEA specifications, providing students with the knowledge and skills they need to succeed and to understand real-world issues.
In lessons, students benefit from a wide range of ICT resources used across all Key Stages. Each classroom is equipped with a Smart Board, and mobile devices are used to support interactive and engaging digital learning experiences.
Fieldwork is a key and exciting part of studying Geography. Students take part in a variety of activities, from exploring our school grounds to visiting field study centres across Northern Ireland. These experiences help bring learning to life and allow students to develop practical skills while investigating real environments.
