About the Role
Working Pattern : Mon to Fri, 7am to 4pm
Your main responsibilities will include
- Opening and securing the school premises each day.
- Ensuring the school site is safe, clean and well maintained.
- Carrying out basic repairs and general maintenance tasks across the school.
- Monitoring health and safety across the school site and reporting any concerns.
- Managing contractors and overseeing site works when required.
- Conducting regular safety, maintenance and equipment checks.
- Maintaining heating, lighting and security systems.
- Supporting fire safety procedures, alarm testing and emergency drills.
- Managing deliveries and site access throughout the day.
- Assisting with room set‑up for school events, meetings and activities.
About You
- Has previous experience in a caretaking, site management or facilities role.
- Has strong practical maintenance and DIY skills.
- Has knowledge of health and safety procedures and regulations.
- Is able to work independently and use initiative.
- Is reliable, trustworthy and highly organised.
- Has good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
- Can prioritise tasks and respond effectively to urgent situations.
- Is physically fit and able to carry out manual duties.
- Is willing to drive our minibus with appropriate training.
- Has a flexible approach to working hours when required.
