The Headteacher, Governors, and children of our inclusive school would like to appoint a friendly and self‑motivated Teaching Assistant to work in our Resource Room, to start in September 2026.
Responsibilities
- Support children with physical and learning disabilities in the Resource Room
- Work in 1:1 situations and teach small groups
- Deliver interventions such as Speech and Language or Occupational Therapy (training will be given)
- Use technology such as iPads or computers to adapt work for children with special educational needs
- Work well with other staff and agencies
Qualifications and Experience
- Friendly, kind, and self‑motivated
- Positive attitude and emotional resilience
- Appropriate childcare qualifications, or willingness to undertake training to obtain them
- Ability to work with energetic children who rely on adult support

Benefits and Working Conditions
- Part‑time position: 15.75 hours per week as a Teaching Assistant and 2.75 hours per week as a Midday Assistant, Wednesday to Friday during term time only.
- Permanent contract.
- Salary: Teaching Assistant Scale 3 point 5–6 (£9,314.71‑£9,462.48); Midday Assistant Scale 1 point 3 (£1,576.34, pro rata actual salary).
