We strongly believe in allowing our staff to carry out their role to a high standard, whilst having a genuine work life balance which is why our full time technicians have the option of a compressed working pattern which offers a ‘flexi afternoon’ once a fortnight, where they are free to leave school site at lunchtime which is an option available for this post. We will also consider part-time and job share options.
We are seeking to appoint two suitably skilled Science Technicians to co-ordinate the use of practical resources and provide technical assistance to the Science Department. We are looking for exceptional candidates with:
- A practical knowledge of the use of equipment, chemicals and science resources
- Experience of working within a science-related environment or with a background in science
- Experience of working with children or young people
- Strong interpersonal skills with a friendly helpful manner
- The ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
- Excellent verbal and written communication
Previous experience in a similar post would be an advantage but is not essential as full training will be provided for the right candidate.
