The responsibilities below will be distributed between the successful candidates depending on expertise and experience. Together, the postholders will drive excellence in literacy, oracy and written communication across the school and across the wider community. The wonderfully diverse population of learners, the emphasis on professional learning for staff and the friendly atmosphere make Ladybridge an interesting and enjoyable place to work. We aspire to be an 'evidence-informed' school where teachers are encouraged to read, research, collaborate and take calculated risks in the classroom. All teaching staff have a generous allocation of non-contact time: typically, 20%, which is double the legal minimum requirement. Teaching staff also have flexible working afternoons once per fortnight. This ensures that our staff have the time to carry out their role to the highest possible standard, whilst having a genuine work-life balance.
