Position Overview
King'sway Community Trust wishes to appoint a highly motivated, dynamic and talented teaching assistant to work on a one‑to‑one basis, in and out of class, to support individual pupils with SEND needs. The role will be based at Ladybarn Primary on a one‑year, temporary contract.
Responsibilities
- The candidate will provide one‑to‑one support to pupils with SEND, working both in and out of class to meet individual needs.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Experience working in a school setting with pupils with Special Educational Needs.
- Strong communication skills and a nurturing, patient, positive attitude.
- Strong literacy skills; successful completion of literacy tests is part of the interview process.
- Professional references (2) and DBS clearance are required.
Compensation and Working Hours
- Level 1, Grade 2 – £26,016 prorata, 25.8 hours per week, term time only, equates to approximately £16,476 per annum.
- Hours of work: 08:50 – 15:00, with a 1‑hour unpaid lunch break – 25.8 hours per week.
