The predicted salary is between 30000 - 40000 £ per year.

Working Hours: 30.50 hours per week

  • Mon, Tue, Thurs & Fri – 8.55am – 3.25pm
  • Wed – 8.55am – 3.55pm

Term time plus an additional 5 days for INSET.

Responsibilities:

  • Teaching Assistants are involved in INSET days and after‑school workshops to equip and train staff to work in our specialist setting.
  • They are part of a class team to support pupils to access our specialist curriculum and enable pupils to progress in areas such as communication, independence, wellbeing, movement, cognition and learning.
  • Teaching Assistants are expected to support pool‑based lessons, requiring water competency and confidence rather than swimming skills.

Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of a range of special needs is useful; a comprehensive induction and training programme is provided.
  • Experience with pupils with special needs is favoured, but willingness to learn and a clear identification with the school’s values is required.
  • Applicants must be able to converse and provide effective help or advice, fluently in spoken English.
