Ashbrook Junior School - School Cleaner Vacancy

Ashbrook Junior School is looking to appoint a conscientious and reliable cleaner to join our friendly and supportive team. We take great pride in our school and are seeking someone who will help us maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our wonderful children, staff, and visitors.

Main Responsibilities

  1. To undertake the cleaning of the school buildings using the appropriate chemicals and equipment.
  2. To carry out a range of cleaning duties, including sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, dusting, polishing floors, and maintaining sanitary areas.
  3. To follow school procedures, legislation, and safe working practices at all times.
  4. To promptly report any faults or hazards to your supervisor.
  5. To support other members of the cleaning team when needed.
  6. To take part in training relevant to your role, ensuring your work is always of the highest standard.
  7. To work both independently and as part of a team, showing initiative and pride in your work.
  8. To have a friendly and helpful attitude towards all members of our school community.

You will

  1. Have a basic understanding of cleaning methods and equipment.
  2. Be willing to learn and follow training on using different materials and equipment safely.
  3. Have an awareness of Health and Safety procedures.
  4. Be able to work well as part of a team and also independently.
  5. Be positive, reliable, and take pride in keeping our school a clean and pleasant place to be.
