We are seeking an enthusiastic, team-oriented Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team at Lady Dane Vets in Faversham and Whitstable, Kent, on a full-time basis. The role will be on rotation across both sites. You will need to be experienced to cover sole nurse charge shifts, when the head nurse will be at the other site.
The practices have digital radiography, endoscopy, ultrasound, doppler, in-house Idexx laboratories, multiparameter machines, tonometry and dental x-ray. The practices are located 13 minutes' drive apart and our Whitstable site is a 2-minute walk from the beach front and has easy access to the town centre, train station and Thanet Way. Whitstable is known for its many novelty shops and its annual Oyster festival. Our Faversham practice is a large purpose-built centre and few minutes' drive from Faversham town centre with various restaurants and easy links to the Thanet way.
How You’ll Make a Difference
As a Registered Veterinary Nurse, you will be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering high-quality nursing care to patients while supporting excellent client experiences. You’ll work collaboratively with veterinary surgeons and the wider practice team, taking responsibility for the nursing care of a range of first opinion cases, contributing to clinical standards, and supporting the ongoing development of patient care within the practice. Hours are 08:00 to 18:30 for 4 weekdays with the 5th day off and 1:4 Saturdays from 08:00-16:00. Your day will be varied covering theatre, schedule 3, dental radiography, nurse consultations, ultrasound, digital radiography, laboratory, dispensing, infection control and puppy parties.
