The Acquisition Support Specialist provides professional acquisition, contract management, and administrative support to the MARAD Office of Acquisition. The role includes assisting with pre-award planning, solicitation preparation, source selection, contract administration, and closeout activities in compliance with FAR, TAR, and agency policies.
Key Duties:
- Assist with acquisition planning, market research, and requirements documentation.
- Support drafting of SOWs, PWSs, IGCEs, solicitations, and contract files.
- Perform price analysis and Excel-based data review (Pivot Tables, lookup formulas).
- Support source selection documentation and evaluation preparation.
- Assist with contract modifications, COR letters, award documents, and closeout.
- Maintain data in PRISM, FPDS-NG, and SharePoint; prepare routine reports.
- Support compliance with acquisition policy and regulatory updates.
Requirements:
- 5+ years Federal contracting experience.
- FAC-C (Professional) / DAWIA III required.
- Solid knowledge of FAR and contracting methods.
- Strong writing, organization, and Excel skills.
