In this role you will own the monthly close and management reporting for a global listed group, turning numbers into actionable insight. You will drive revenue integrity, oversee key balance sheet areas, and support NetSuite implementation while exploring AI to enhance reporting. You will coach a future Assistant Management Accountant and work with cross-functional teams to enable data-driven decisions that support business growth and transformation.

Responsibilities
- Own the monthly close for the Group, delivering timely P&L, balance sheet and cash flow with insightful commentary
- Protect revenue integrity by ensuring IFRS 15-compliant revenue recognition and accurate accruals/deferred revenue
- Prepare and review reconciliations across key balance sheet areas and resolve reconciling items promptly
- Ensure accurate accounting treatment of revenue, COGS, overheads and intercompany transactions by entity/division
- Coordinate divisional reporting with Finance to deliver complete, consistent insights for senior stakeholders
- Provide analyses of performance versus budget/forecast/prior periods, highlighting commercial drivers
- Translate complex financial data into clear commentary and practical recommendations for finance and non-finance stakeholders
- Help shape internal controls and assist with internal/external audits
- Support NetSuite implementation and transition to BAU reporting, ensuring scalable processes
- Identify and implement AI-based improvements to automate routine tasks and speed up analysis
- Lead efficiency improvements to standardise and automate month-end reporting and documentation
- Contribute to cross-functional finance projects and support the growth of the finance function
- Mentor an Assistant Management Accountant as the team expands
- Build relationships across the Group to understand performance and identify improvement opportunities
- Adapt to an increasingly acquisitive, international business and evolve the role accordingly
- Lead by example with ownership, communication and a collaborative finance culture
Key requirements
- Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
- Strong management accounting experience with business insight
- Solid understanding of revenue recognition and balance sheet controls; IFRS 15 knowledge valuable
- Analytical mindset with ability to link results to commercial drivers
- Detail-oriented with ability to meet tight deadlines in a fast-moving environment
- Confident communicator capable of explaining financial matters to stakeholders
- Agile and adaptable to complex, growing group structures
- Improvement-focused with ability to propose and implement practical solutions
- Strong systems capability with advanced Excel; NetSuite experience advantageous
