About the Role
The Production Lead – Originals reports to the Head of Originals and works closely with the Lead Editor to manage and facilitate the production arm of the Originals team, who produce flagship formats such as Snack Wars, Agree to Disagree & Minutes With. This is maternity cover for 11 months. We are looking for an experienced leader and communicator, a resourceful, creative and solutions-focused individual who will plan and manage commercial, original, marketing and social video projects across LADbible Group’s portfolio of brands and channels. Being able to multitask, hit tight deadlines, work and execute all levels/tiers of production are fundamental skills for this role.
What the opportunity looks like:
- Manage and oversee the Originals annual budget and production cost managers from conception through to delivery working with Producers to ensure all productions run smoothly, on schedule and to budget.
- Support and lead the process for all commercial sponsored campaigns from a financial, legal and schedule point of view.
- As a people manager, plan and promote the health and schedule of the team, raise resource concerns and solutions and schedule regular 1-2-1s.
- Run weekly team meetings to oversee the Originals team resource requirements and plan ahead to maintain Originals output.
- Actively participate in calls/meetings with internal and external stakeholders where concepts and formats are discussed and developed.
- Manage and oversee all contracting for the Originals team, ensuring the Production team are hiring and contracting all team members, crew, and contractors correctly and with the Lead Editor; raise freelance request forms where required.
- Working with insurance companies proactively reporting and documenting all necessary risk management and documentation for all shoots, responding and reacting to changes in guidelines and processes.
Skills and experience we'd like you to have:
- Experience within the industry as a Senior Production Manager, Senior Line Producer, Senior Producer/Director at a publisher, channel or production company.
- Experience of leading and managing a team.
- Ability to manage and oversee multiple productions simultaneously from conception to delivery.
- Experience managing international shoots, overseeing all logistics including carnets, visas, and crew hire worldwide.
- Experience of running teams to facilitate the financial, legal and logistical management of productions.
- You must be comfortable budgeting for varying tiers of productions and across several video formats—animated, original, live and social.
- Must be comfortable managing expectations of key stakeholders throughout a campaign to protect the production process and budget.
- Highly connected within the industry with a talent network.
- Must be client facing with experience managing external clients and internal stakeholders throughout the production process.
- Professional level understanding of Microsoft Office suite or comparable industry standard software, with particular expertise in Excel, Word and G-Suite/Office 365.
- Health and Safety course preferable.
