Founded in 2012, LADbible Group is redefining entertainment and news for a social generation. Our global community engages with our content–spanning editorial, video, documentary and live – we reach 1 billion people each and every month. Our mission is to give the youth generation a voice by building communities that laugh, think and act.Using all major platforms, we’ve rapidly risen to become one of the world's largest publishers.

SPORTbible is looking for a News Editor to help lead the next stage of our editorial growth.

Reporting to the Brand Editor, you'll shape our daily sports agenda across web and social - deciding what we cover, how we cover it, and what makes fans stop scrolling.

This is hands‑on. Covering the biggest stories is only part of the job; the real question is always what SPORTbible can add. The detail others missed. The thing fans actually want explained. The follow‑up nobody else chased.

We're moving towards fewer, stronger, more distinctive stories. You'll lead that shift, and help the journalists around you make it.

The role

  • Lead the daily agenda across football, F1, boxing, MMA, golf and tennis
  • Commission, edit and publish accurate, engaging, legally sound journalism
  • Find the angle beyond the headline when news breaks elsewhere
  • Think 360° — web, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, WhatsApp, Search, Discover
  • Work with social editors on packaging that earns the click and rewards it
  • Use audience data to sharpen commissioning, not chase old traffic
  • Coach journalists through editing, feedback and honest conversations about ideas

You’ll need

  • Five years plus in a newsroom or digital publishing, ideally with editing or commissioning responsibility
  • Excellent sports news judgement and strong football knowledge
  • A proven eye for original angles on big stories
  • Strong headline writing and digital packaging
  • Real fluency across social platforms, Search and Discover
  • Confidence with tools like Google Analytics, Chartbeat and NewsWhip
  • A sound grasp of media law, sourcing and verification
