We’re looking for a Junior Social Editor to join LADbible Group and be at the heart of our audience growth strategy. You’ll distribute trending and breaking news to our global audience, ensuring our journalism hits the right platforms, at the right time, every time.
What You’ll Do
- Spot trends, breaking news, and viral videos before anyone else.
- Shape daily publishing schedules across trending news, original stories, and features.
- Collaborate with journalists and editors to maximize content performance using both editorial judgement and data insights.
- Post and schedule content across social platforms, primarily Facebook and Twitter.
- Craft attention-grabbing headlines, captions, and thumbnails that drive clicks and engagement.
- Monitor performance using analytics tools and report insights to continually grow our audience.
- Work across a seven-day rota and cover live events as they happen.
Who You Are
- 1+ years’ experience in a newsroom or digital publishing environment.
- Knowledge of social media platforms and Google Search.
- Passionate about UK and US news, pop culture, and viral trends.
- Experience in writing for a digital audience.
- Understanding of analytics tools such as Google Analytics, NewsWhip, Chartbeat, or Trends.
- Collaborative, with experience working across editorial teams.
- Understanding of journalism ethics and law.
