We are looking to recruit a Product Manager to manage a cross functional project team to deliver new own label products to market. Working alongside factories to develop products that match our customer requirements, with sustainable packaging solutions in line with customer targets. This is a hybrid working role, based 3 days a week at our head office in Redhill, Surrey and 2 days from home if required.

Responsibilities

  • Private Label Project Management: Responsible for leading private label initiatives from concept to launch, coordinating cross functional teams, sites, and factories to ensure timely and successful delivery. This includes managing NPD, packaging development, redesigns, and using internal tools to track progress. Supports creation of project P&Ls and works closely with customers to deliver products aligned with their requirements.
  • Develops a deep understanding of customer private label strategies to proactively support commercial teams. Maintains strong customer relationships, enhances Lactalis’ reputation, and continually monitors performance against key objectives, providing analysis and recommendations as needed.
  • Product Insight & Development: Manages daily interactions with external agencies, suppliers, factories, and central teams. Identifies and quantifies private label growth opportunities in collaboration with commercial, quality, and supply chain teams. Provides performance reports, interprets consumer insight data, ensures legal compliance for marketing activities, and coordinates product samples, tastings, and documentation for customer projects.

Qualifications

Someone who brings strong experience in food and retail FMCG product development, with excellent accuracy, attention to detail, and a commitment to continuous improvement. Demonstrates proven project leadership and the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels. Communicates clearly in both written and verbal formats and shows solid commercial acumen through the ability to interpret marketing, category, and commercial data. Consistently delivers financial targets and is proficient in key Microsoft Office applications.
